Come and spend your New Years in the land of the Whale Sharks, Hammer Heads, and Manta’s. We will be taking Maldives Newest, and most luxurious Liveaboard, MV Orion.

Unique in design and topped with an excellent service orientated crew, MV ORION is, by far, the most modern, luxurious and unique vessel in the seas around the Indian Ocean and Maldivian Atolls.

Rooms:

There are 10 guest rooms, each finished with the luxury and ambience of a Maldivian Luxury Resort. Every room comprises of double/twin beds, a mini-bar, Plasma TV, Electronic Combination Safe, as well as beautifully tiled bathrooms. All 10 rooms have en suite toilet and shower facilities, with 2 of the 10 rooms having the added luxury of bathtubs. At the front of the Upper Deck is a magnificent Presidential Suite, which comes with its own private external section, complete with private open air Jacuzzi.

Asian Dive Site description of the HMS Repulse:

“British Battle Cruiser HMS Repulse is one of the biggest and most interesting world war II wrecks anywhere in the world. At 242 meters in length, 36000 gross tons, 3 sets of 15″ main guns and fully penetrable this is any wreck divers wet dream come true. She was sunk (together with Battleship HMS Prince of Wales) by Japanese torpedo bombers 10th december 1941 and now rests 50 nautical miles north of Tioman Island in 55 meters of water with the hull being accessible at 32 meters. Main attractions are the main 15″ guns, 4″ anti aircraft guns, conning tower, aircraft hangar, torpedo damage, entire bow lifted off the seabed, the 4 massive propellers (5m diameter) and plenty more. Marine life include massive schools of barracuda, cobia, snappers, batfish, jacks. Resident marble rays, a grandfather turtle, giant morays, massive groupers, blacktips, very large cobia. Occasional whalesharks, manta rays, eagle rays, marlin and dolphins. Decompression diving is recommended, but experienced open water divers will be able to explore some of the shallower parts of the wreck.”

LOB trip to Nippo Maru Wreck

We have a live aboard (LOB) trip on the Samudera Quest to Nippo Maru Wreck on the weekend of Oct 10th. Excellent diving for the experienced divers. Free nitrox on the trip for Nitrox certified divers too!!!

Nippo Maru is one of the few wrecks still laden with her cargo and home to millions of fish life. She is 60 over years old in the sea but with guns that look almost they will fire on command. One of the few wrecks still within the grasp of a novice recreational diver…
