Ngee Ann Poly Reef Conservation Trip - Pulau Aur (Atlantis Bay Resort)
Thursday, September 4th, 2008Paying tribute to the Year of the Reef 2008, Ngee Ann Polytechnic embarked on an educational journey to save the corals and to promote ecological growth amongst existing reefs around Pulau Aur.
With the support of Planet Scuba and a Marine Biologist, 16 students and 3 teachers were dispatched to Atlantis Bay Resort, Pulau Aur, for a week-long conservation trip.
Students helped set up 2 mooring lines for boats and 4 artificial reef structures. Crocodile Rock and Telok Kador were chosen venues as they are popular dive sites frequented by divers.
Planet Scuba would like to thank Ngee Ann Polytechnic, student helpers and teachers for their support and their contribution towards reef conservation. We look forward to engage Ngee Ann polytechnic on their next visit to view their conservation efforts.
